The Nutrition Diva

The host, Monica Reinagel, gives excellent “middle of the road” advice about nutrition. We often encounter headlines or trending content online that make sweeping declarations about a specific food or nutrient, either completely vilifying or elevating it. She does a great job of breaking down the actual studies, articles, or trending social media posts and she explains what is true, what is not true, and what we simply don’t know enough about.

Modern Wisdom

Sure, Chris Williamson lends a little to the “biohacker, bro-science” end of things when it comes to content, but I find him to be an excellent conversationalist and interviewer. He has a variety of interesting and well-known guests across a variety of topics, including health professionals and I always come away from it having learned something new, or thinking differently.

Whoop

As a long time Whoop wearer, I frequently listen to the podcast to hear from the team there. Some of the conversations with athletes are interesting, but I have to be honest – as someone who has never been an “athlete” it’s not always relevant to me. I really like the episodes that share findings from the massive amounts of data they have, and the episodes that talk about specific behaviors and why they affect people as they do.

Your Undivided Attention

As much as I love technology, I also have concerns about the potential negative effects is has on us as individuals and as a whole. Tristan Harris and Aza Raskin from the Center for Humane Technology provide excellent insights into the ripple effects, both positive and negative, technology has on our ability to focus, work, and communicate.
