Dr. Kelly A. Reynolds

Public Health Columnist
Dr. Kelly A. Reynolds is a Professor of Environmental Health Sciences and Chair, Community, Environment & Policy at the University of Arizona College of Public Health. She holds a Master of Science Degree in public health (MSPH) from the University of South Florida and a doctorate in microbiology from the University of Arizona. Rick Andrew

Rick Andrew is NSF’s Director of Global Business Development–Water Systems. Previously, he served as General Manager of NSF’s Drinking Water Treatment Units (POU/POE), ERS (Protocols) and Biosafety Cabinetry Programs. Gary Battenberg

Gary Battenberg is a Technical Support and Systems Design Specialist with the Fluid System Connectors Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation in Otsego, MI. He has over 33 years of experience in the fields of domestic, commercial, industrial, high-purity and sterile water treatment processes. Battenberg has worked in the areas of sales, service, design and manufacturing, utilizing filtration, ion exchange, UV sterilization, reverse osmosis and ozone technologies. Peter S. Cartwright

Peter Cartwright, PE, President of Cartwright Consulting Company, entered the water purification and wastewater treatment industry in 1974 and has had his own consulting engineering firm since 1980. He has a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota (1961) and as a registered Professional Engineer in that state, has provided consulting services to more than 250 clients globally. Cartwright’s expertise includes high-technology separation processes such as RO, UF, MF, UF electrodialysis, deionization, carbon adsorption, ozonation and distillation. He has authored over 300 articles, written several book chapters, presented over 300 lectures in conferences around the world and is the recipient of several patents. Cartwright also provides extensive expert witness testimony and technology training courses. A founding member of the Technical Review Committee for Water Conditioning & Purification International magazine, he is also on the Editorial Advisory Committee of Industrial WaterWorld magazine and is on the Editorial Advisory Board for Filtration News. Cartwright, a recipient of both the Award of Merit and Lifetime Member Award from the Water Quality Association (WQA), was the 2016 McEllhiney Distinguished lecturer for the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) Research and Educational Foundation and presented over 35 lectures throughout the world on groundwater contamination mitigation. Previously, he was Technical Consultant to the Canadian Water Quality Association. C.F. ‘Chubb’ Michaud

C.F. ‘Chubb’ Michaud, CWS-VI is the Technical Director and CEO of Systematix Company of Buena Park, CA, which he founded in 1982. He has served as chair of several sections, committees and task forces within WQA, is a Past Director and Governor of WQA and currently serves on the PWQA Board, chairing the Technical and Education Committees. Michaud is a proud member of both the WQA and PWQA Halls of Fame, has been honored with the WQA Award of Merit and is a two-time past recipient of the PWQA Robert Gans Award. Greg Reyneke

Greg Reyneke, Managing Director at Red Fox Advisors, has two decades of experience in the management and growth of water treatment dealerships. His expertise spans the full gamut of residential, commercial and industrial applications including wastewater treatment. In addition, Reyneke also consults on water conservation and reuse methods, including rainwater harvesting, aquatic ecosystems, greywater reuse and water-efficient design. David H. Martin

Creative Marketing Columnist

David H. Martin earned his BA Degree in English/psychology from the University of Dayton (Ohio) in 1965. He worked as a copywriter, creative director and advertising account supervisor at three national ad agencies from 1965-1978. Some of the major accounts Martin served include Frigidaire, Whirlpool, GE Appliances, the Hoover Company and Johnson Controls. He was a partner in two regional advertising agencies in Chicago from 1978-84; Owner of Martin Marketing from 1985-1987; Director of Marketing for Hurd Windows Inc. from 1987-1990 and has been President of Lenzi Martin Marketing since 1990. As WC&P Contributing Editor, he has served as a WQA Member and observer on the WQA Marketing Communications Committee since 2016. Martin received the 2019 WQA Award of Merit.
